About bts
BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan, meaning "Bulletproof Boy Scouts"), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 and debuting in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The group consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Originally a hip-hop group, BTS has evolved their musical style to incorporate a wide range of genres including pop, R&B, EDM, and ballad. Their lyrics frequently address mental health, self-love, social commentary, and the coming-of-age experience. BTS broke into the global mainstream with their Love Yourself album series (2017–2018), becoming the first Korean act to top the Billboard 200 and the first K-pop group to receive a Grammy nomination. With hits like "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Permission to Dance," BTS has sold over 48 million albums worldwide. The group has addressed the United Nations General Assembly multiple times and launched the LOVE YOURSELF anti-violence campaign with UNICEF.
